Dr. Agbodo has over 20 years of experience in treating people with mental illnesses. He completed his Psychiatric training at the Royal London and St. Bartholomew's training scheme culminating into a Royal College of Psychiatrists certification in Psychiatry in the United Kingdom. Dr. Agbodo also completed a master’s degree in Epileptology at the Kings College University in London. He relocated to Canada in 2007 working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in BC for about 10 years before moving to Saint John NB in 2016.

Dr. Agbodo’s area of expertise is General Adult Psychiatry with a special interest in Neuropsychiatry (interface between organic brain disorder and psychiatric consequences). He is certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and is approved to perform independent medical examinations.​

Dr. Agbodo is an Associate Professor in Psychiatry at the Memorial University of Newfoundland and an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax. He is actively involved in teaching and training medical students and residents from both schools.
